Simon photographed our wedding a few weeks ago and we couldn't be happier with him and with the photos he has created from our day. Simon has been a wonderful supplier to deal with from the very start, meeting us for coffee and responding to our many questions over email. On the day, he managed to be both incredibly professional and wonderfully fun, fitting right in with the guests and putting everyone, including us, at ease. We have just had the photographs from our wedding back and they have exceeded all our expectations! He has expertly captured the fun and happiness from our day, whilst also getting so many of the more elegant shots that we wanted. Looking at the photos has been like reliving the day and our friends and family are absolutely delighted. The photos were received very quickly, but a lot of work has clearly gone into them and we are so grateful to Simon for capturing our day so well. Such a reasonable price for an exceptional service and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in the area!

I would recommend Simon 100 times over! On the day he was absolutely fantastic, he kept an eye on the weather and managed to get so many beautiful outdoor shots in between the rain. He captured really natural, happy photos of our guests. Simon has an eye for identifying who the key people are to the couple and snapping some beautiful and memorable photos of them. Simon is incredible! From our first meeting we knew that Simon is the photographer for us. His professionalism, sense of humour, timely and continuous communication really stood out. After 2 meetings with Simon, we had no doubt that our wedding photographs will be great but they exceeded our expectations.

Firstly, bridal prep! We don't know how Simon managed to take such wonderful photos in the crammed and crowded hotel room. But despite having 10 (!) people in the room at some point Simon captured all the key moments including laughs, hugs and all the "wows" as Anastasia was getting into the bridal dress.

Secondly, everything else! Wedding ceremony, drinks reception, speeches, games, party, cake cutting - all photographs were truly magical. Simon captured so many fantastic moments, some of which we did not even see. From the serene atmosphere of the church ceremony to the smiles and laughs during the speeches - you can feel the love when looking back at these photographs. Simon was extremely friendly and personable with all the guests while staying really professional and almost invisible! It is such a skill!

Posed pictures were an unexpected highlight for us. Although we don't usually like to have our photos taken, Simon orchestrated a chilled photoshoot full of laughter. It felt very easy and natural and photographs truly reflect it. It only took 20 minutes or so but somehow we now have dozens of truly stunning photographs. It will be very difficult to decide which ones we want to print and hang on the wall!

The cherry on the cake - all photographs (more than 800, to be precise!) arrived less than 3 weeks after the wedding. How incredible is that!

Simon photographed our wedding back in February. He was an amazing, calm, friendly presence from the minute we first met him, all the way through to the end of our wedding day! We’ve been to weddings where the photos didn’t truly capture the day, the people, or the spirit of things. You know what I mean - those sorts of photos which look static, where people look like they’re forcing themselves to smile, and the photos could almost be of anyone’s wedding.

Want to avoid all of that? Well, you need to choose Simon, then!

He is one of those rare photographers who can produce both artful, beautiful posed (but not stiff) shots AND ALSO capture the endless moments of laughter, fun, cheekiness, tears, love, new friendships etc, where you see your wedding from a hundred different angles that you couldn’t have seen on the day itself.

The posed shots were all absolutely beautiful and looked very natural. We did a little photoshoot, just the 3 of us, in Roath Park and the photos from that are simply stunning. Better even than I expected.

The TONE on Simon’s shots has to be mentioned too. I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to art, colour and photography and I was blown away by how Simon captured the beauty of that sunny October day. The light is golden and cold, the nighttime greenery harmonises beautifully with the men’s cravats, the beautiful jewel colours in everyone’s clothes sing on screen. The cigar smoke hangs in the air and makes everyone look like they have stepped out of Peaky Blinders. Truly magical.

Simon himself is imaginative and nerdy, funny and helpful, cheeky and personable. He is great at getting a smile out of everyone and giving shyer guests the confidence to ham up to the camera and play about with some of Simon’s awesome props (umbrellas! Lightsabers! Light stands!) Plus, Simon is a consummate professional. We felt in very safe hands at all times.

Simon is a true professional. He is hilarious, friendly and made myself, my husband and all our guests completely at ease. That comes through on all our pictures, nothing looked or felt awkward and the quality is just brilliant. One of my bridesmaids said that she has never seen pictures that capture the thoughts and emotions of people so perfectly. We cannot recommend Simon enough. We knew Simon already as he photographed my mums’ wedding the previous year and we knew instantly when we got engaged ourselves that we wanted him. Simon is such a friendly and relaxed person which is exactly what you want and need on your wedding day! On the lead up to the wedding, Simon made us feel at ease through quick responses through email, meeting up to look through a wide range of his wedding albums and portfolios. He made the whole process stress-free and straight forward. Before the wedding, Simon sent us a form to fill in so he could ensure that he captured the special and important moments.
On our wedding day, Simon was so easy-going and made us feel at ease instantly, which helped create those magic moments we wanted to remember. He blended in and got on with our friends and family, which is exactly what your guests will want as everyone can have a laugh with him! Simon was incredible on the day and went above and beyond, especially when we had photos in the woodland area in the pouring rain. He got absolutely soaked but it didn’t stop him from getting some amazing photos outside which are our favourites! We have had so many compliments on our photos about how magical and surreal they look, and it is all because of Simon.
When we were on our honeymoon, we received an email saying our wedding photos had arrived and we couldn’t believe that within a couple of weeks they were ready, and we couldn’t wait to see them all! Our photos arrived in a lovely, rustic wooden box with a selection of some photos and a memory stick with 800+ of our wedding photos. We were beyond thrilled when we saw our photos and were so grateful for Simon and how we captured our special day. There were so many photos that we didn’t even realise Simon had taken on the day; you completely forget he is there as he just blends in so well. We loved re-living all the incredible moments from the day as well as the little bits we missed as the day went on.

Simon has beautifully captured so many of our friends weddings that it was a no brainer to choose him for ours. He was just was fantastic from start to finish. His calm and friendly manner puts you at ease from first meeting right through to on the day.
