Sophie & Antony in Penarth
Couples are after many different things from their weddings and many are looking for shorter coverage that matches their day. Sophie and Antony were getting married at 5pm in November and were looking for just 3 hours coverage. It was a challenge with the light but I think we managed to get great photos despite the light and some rain to give them photos that captured their wedding and will give them memories to show future generations.
The wedding ceremony was held in West House in Penarth and the reception took place at Courts and I had to utilise my many form of lighting to make sure that we got the photos you see.
It was only 3 hours but felt like I got to know them both as well as their boys. We finished with sparklers and some light stick photos and I was home in time to meet friends, have food and drinks and watch Strictly!

“Right from the moment I reached out to Simon to enquire, he was very warm and had the availability to chat about our needs and offered face to face or zoom options. We met over zoom and immediately I knew he would be the guy we hired. Simon is extremely personable and fun, but also clearly a professional with lots of confidence - exactly what I needed being such a worrier. Simon offered plenty of reassurance and was happy to listen and discuss the sort of vibe we wanted to go for.
On the build up to the day, I emailed Simon in a panic (again-worrier) but he made me feel reassured and not like I was being a nuisance.
On the day itself, Simon was absolutely fantastic! He put all the guests as ease and was snap snap snapping away to capture all of the beautiful, natural and candid moments that we had discussed. He was flexible with taking shots of people who asked, as well as going with the flow and supporting us as the bride and groom. As a rule I hate having my photo taken, however, the photo moments were some of my favourite memories of the day.
We also wanted some sparkler photographs taken with all of the guests, and we explained to Simon that there were some time constraints around this - but phenomenally he pulled this off for us, bringing so much energy and being a really awesome hype man for us and the guests - everyone loved this part of the evening as did we.
Our photographs have arrived today, and needless to say they are absolutely gorgeous 😍 to capture our special day the way he did is something we will be forever grateful for.
