Don Giovanni -Opera Photography by Simon Gough

Its always a pleasure to photograph an arts performance and in the case of Don Giovanni performed by the students of RWCMD I had double pleasure of photographing both casts over two days and seeing the show in a slightly different way with the cast and saw how the production team fine tuned the lighting and blocking (the rehearsed movement around the stage).

The show was being performed in the following week and only for 2 performances per cast at The Sherman Theatre. This is a theatre I know really well as I have done many shows there as a Stage Manager and its a 450 seat theatre with no bad seat. I expect that each show was a sell out and it would have been well deserved after seeing this excellent and beautiful to photograph production.
