Flora & Samuel in the Norwegian Church

One thing you dont associate with January is sun and these guys lucked out as sun shone throughtout their wedding day at The Norwegian Church in Cardiff bay. It was so nice to turn up and be greeted by smiling guests and the low sun sitting over the bay. From the morning till I left after sparklers at 8.30 there was lots of laughter and it was an easy one for me as I knew a lot of the wedding guests and that always makes the day easy.
I have known Flora for about 8 years and was delighted to be asked to shoot her day and her wedding to Samuel, who I have know for only a few months now. The day started with Bridal Prep in Grangetown and make up with Joanna Yates (a wonderful make up artist who I have also known for a number of years) and ran through to the ceremony, confetti, great food, a silent disc and ended with sparklers as the couple left and the sparkler tunnel and kept walking. What a top day and the couple are delighted with their photos after recieving them the day they returned from honeymoon in Italy.
Flora wrote on her Instagram - “huge huge thank you to the incredible @simongoughphoto for taking photos of our day! we cannot believe how beautifully our day has been captured! After spending the past 10 years enjoying many friends’ weddings with you there taking incredible snaps, it was so special to have you be part of our wonderful day”
